4-9-Day - Help us Reach $4,900 on April 9th
The Biggest Day of The Year for 490 Farmers: 4-9-DAY!
Your support will not only help keep our garden going, but also support Cameron Ministries as we assist in revitalizing their community garden. If we're able to reach our goal, 5% of proceeds raised will also go to Flower City Noire Collective.
Your support helps us maintain and grow the 490 community garden, assist other local community gardens, and host educational and community events.
Financial donations as well as in-kind donations are always appreciated! Donations are used to maintain, revitalize, and enhance the garden each year. Please consider giving!
Items we are in need of are:
New or gently used garden tools including trowels & pitchforks
Topsoil, compost, play sand, straw, wood chips, burlap bags, spent grains, other organic materials for composting
Trellising & fencing materials (chicken wire, garden stakes, etc)
Before bringing plants/seedlings to the garden, please check with us first. We have many outstanding seed starters that donate to us and our plot members already, and don't want your seedlings to go to waste. To get in touch, please email: info@490farmers.org

Please do not drop off plastic plant containers. We do not have a way to recycle or upcycle these. The Monroe County Cornell Cooperative Extension will take these containers if they don't have specific nursery branding on them. Please contact them at the following phone number: (585) 753-2550
